Scaffolding

The Important Role of Scaffolding Systems in Construction

In construction projects, scaffold systems are widely utilized due to their emphasis on safety, support for reinforcing structures, and cost-effective control. They provide a higher level of assurance for the safety of workers during the construction process. Scaffold systems contribute to increased work efficiency during processes such as concrete pouring and masonry construction. Moreover, they exhibit strong adaptability, allowing for adjustments based on the diverse shapes and heights of buildings, thereby offering flexible scaffolding solutions

Scaffolding System Components

Ring lock scaffolding system mainly consists of six major components: adjustable short base jack, scaffolding standard, ledger, diagonal brace, stair tread and toe board. For inner scaffolding , an adjustable head jack (U-head) needs to be added. There are no other movable auxiliary parts, which maximally prevents the occurrence of abnormal situations such as detachment and loss scaffolding accessories. At the same time, the construction site is tidy and orderly, and the storage management is simple and convenient, demonstrating the construction management capabilities and enhancing on-site safety and efficiency. The detailed explanation is as follows:

Scaffolding Standard

Material usually is Q345B, hot-dip galvanized for corrosion protection, using φ48×3.25 wall thickness round pipes. They are designed according to modular lengths, with a rosett welded at a 500mm interval on one end. The other end has a guiding spigot for connection. When linked, the round pipe is subjected to vertical forces, preventing issues such as leaning or slipping. (Lengths are available in standard modular specifications.)

Ledger

Material usually is Q345B, hot-dip galvanized for corrosion protection, using φ48×2.75~3.2 wall thickness round pipes. They are designed with intervals and spans based on modular. Cast steel heads are welded at both ends, and than installed long locking pins. (Lengths are available in standard modular specification).

Diagonal Braces

Material usually is Q345B, hot-dip galvanized for corrosion protection, using φ48×2.75~3.2 wall thickness round pipes. They are designed with lengths based on modular. Cast steel heads are welded at both ends of the diagonal braces. (Lengths are available in standard modular specifications).

Stair Tread

Material usually is Q235/Q235B galvanized plates, with thickness options such as 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, etc. The thicker the plate, the higher the load-bearing capacity, but it requires more effort during manual installation. The surface of the plate is processed with longitudinal and transverse tooth-shaped patterns to enhance friction and anti-slip performance, preventing workers slipping. Length: Generally sizes 732mm, 900mm, 1088mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 1572mm, 1800mm, 2072mm, 2572mm, etc. Width: 160mm, 240mm, 250mm, 320mm, etc.

Toe Board

Material usually is Q235/Q235B galvanized plates, with thickness options such as 1.0mm, 1.2mm, etc. Its main purpose is to prevent installation and construction personnel from stepping out of bounds or empty spaces. Length: Generally sizes such as 732mm, 900mm, 1088mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 1572mm, 1800mm, 2072mm, 2572mm, etc. Width: The standard width is 200mm.

Starting Rod (foot sleeve)

It is welded with a rosette, used to connect the adjustable base jack and the standard. It is usually made of Q345B material and undergoes hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion treatment with a wall thickness of 3.5mm on a 320×φ58mm round tube.

Cantilever Frame

l used for supporting the cantilever platform and extending the scaffold system, primarily to prevent falling objects at heights.

Rosette/Lock Pin (Wedge)/Diagonal Brace Head (diagonal lock head)/Ledger Head

Material generally is Q345B steel, with thickness 9.7~10mm . After welding, it undergoes hot-dip galvanized anti-corrosion treatment.

Used to connect and combine the ledger head (lock head), the diagonal brace head(lock head), and rosette.

Secured by locking pins on the large holes of the round disc to form a connection.

Connected and combined by pins on the small holes of the rosette.

Step Ladder And Handrail

l Used to connect the upper and lower layer, facilitating the movement of construction personnel and providing safety support.

Since all connections of the buckle scaffolding are assembled with pins, construction workers only need a hammer to complete the stable connection between the rods, which effectively improves the construction quality, reduces the construction cost, and ensures the safety and stability of the construction site.
